VINTAGE HOLIDAYS GUIDED TOURS DEC 6 - DEC 28 

Come visit the Historic Haile Homestead decorated for the holidays! The 1856 plantation house is unique in the Nation for its “Talking Walls.” Over 12,500 words were written on the walls by family and friends going back to 1859! Learn the story of the house, the enslaved people who labored there, the Haile family – and the parties held there in the early 1900s.

Tours will be conducted from December 6th through December 28th, Saturdays (10 AM to 2 PM) and Sundays (12 PM to 4 PM). Last tour begins 45 minutes before closing. $5 per person, under 12 free! Group tours available. Private weekday tours available: Fewer than 10 people, $10 per person; 10 or more, group rate of $4 per person. Funded in part by Visit Gainesville, Alachua County, FL

Coming January 24, 2026: 11 AM Grand Opening of the reconstructed Kitchen! Open House follows. Free and open to the public!

December 7th through December 29th, during regular weekend hours.  $5 per person, under 12 free. Group and weekday tours available by special appointment. Group tours: $4 per person. History & Holidays Guided Tours -

The 1856 house is NOT air conditioned; the Visitors Center is.
